Major at Williams: Studio Art and Environmental Science

 

After Stanford Business School, I worked as a management consultant for a decade or so. While that was challenging and paid the bills well enough, it didn't do much to scratch the creativity itch that was sparked at Williams. So, I left McKinsey to put my energy into small business startups where I could be free to be more innovative. I helped launch an automotive parts company, a sporting goods company, a medical lighting business, a non-profit economic development foundation, and a solar energy co-op.

While it was fun to help build new organizations, I especially enjoyed designing new products. Here are a few of several dozen I worked on, some of which were awarded patents.
