Major at Williams: Psychology and Music

 

Work statement: I am an ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in cornea and external eye diseases. I was in practice first on the full-time academic faculty at Georgetown from 1984-6 and then in a group practice in Hewlett, NY from 1986-2001. I moved to the Berkshires in 2001 and was in private practice from 2001-2016 before joining Berkshire Eye Center from 2106-2018.

 

I retired in 2018 and since then have been pursuing an online degree in Composing for Film and TV at Berklee. I am the co-founder of a new concert series, Jazz and Classics for Change serving Berkshire and Columbia Counties. I perform in and around the Berkshires as the keyboardist for the Release the Penguins Jazz Quartet. 

 

Personal: My wife Claudia is a pediatrician and an Infant/Parent Mental Health specialist. My oldest daughter Suzanne teaches high school art in Baltimore and is a printmaker and writer. My middle daughter Hannah is a third year MD PhD student at Emory in Atlanta, and my son Eli recently graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Arts Management and a career ambition of musical performance stage management having worked at Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood over the last two summers.
