Major at Williams: Philosophy and Music

 

The first item is a video recording of "In the Shadow of the Glorious Cross."  This was done for a streamed service of the Tenebrae (Maundy Thursday) at First Church in Windsor, CT toward the beginning of the lockdown protocol in CT.  Words and music by Brooks Ritter and Rebecca Bales.  Adrienne Armes sings and plays the guitar and her husband, Travis, plays the drum.  I play the fiddle.

The second item is an unnamed hymn tune I composed last year using the principles of common practice harmony taught to me by Professor Robert Barrow at Williams.
